Incursoes

A série ‘Incursões‘ é composta por instalações realizadas a partir de uma investigação, ora por meio da coleta de áudios, ora por registros fotográficos, de vestígios de meu pai.

Nesse sentido, o modus operandi voyeur se propõe análogo àquele de militares infiltrados no âmbito da ditadura militar, como ele o fora. Vasculhando seus lugares, suas gavetas, seus exames médicos, sou espectador de suas confissões, de suas angústias e delírios, frente a um momento de extrema debilidade emocional e de saúde, onde seus valores antigos são reafirmados.

The series ‘Incursions’ is composed of installations made from an investigation, either through the collection of audios, or through photographic records, of traces of my father.

The voyeur modus operandi proposes to be analogous to those of military men infiltrated during the period of the Brazilian military dictatorship, as my father had been. Searching their places, their drawers, their medical exams, I am a spectator of their confessions, their anguish and delusions, facing a moment of extreme emotional and health weakness, where their old values are reaffirmed.
